The White House Adult Day Care Center is back in the news.

There was extensive reporting on this Government supported facility at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue sometime ago (https://musingsfromtheswamp.com/archives/12).

Stories have continued of high staff and student turnover, a budgetary crisis and a failure to follow rules that had been in place more or less successfully since 1788.

But the Center maintained that it was a rigorous institution focussed on meritocracy and “employing the best”. In fulfilling this mission, it graduated white middle aged men, in association with institutions including Congress and the Supreme Court.

However, it has now been disclosed that all students have been given a national security clearance regardless of classroom behaviour or after school activities.

In a statement, a spokesman for the White House Day Care Center defended the practice and said:

For a long time now, the favourite game at the centre has been pass the parcel.

And we didn’t we want anyone to feel left out.

“So everyone gets a prize.”
